Biography

Nic has a broad commercial and insurance practice.

Before coming to the Bar, he practised as a solicitor in commercial litigation and insurance at Corrs Chambers Westgarth. He has experience acting for Government Departments, private corporations and insurers in a wide range of claims involving administrative law, banking, commercial equity, corporations law, medical negligence, public liability and resource disputes. He has acted in the State courts, the Federal Court and the High Court.

Nic holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from the Queensland University of Technology. During university, he worked as a law clerk at Creevey Russell Lawyers and as a research assistant to Richard Lynch, Barrister.

He is currently studying a Master of Laws at the University of Melbourne, and has previously worked as a sessional academic in Health Law at the Queensland University of Technology.

Nic also holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Queensland.
