Biography

Nic was called to the Bar in 2025. He has a diverse practice spanning public and criminal law with a focus on mental health law, statutory prosecutions and personal injury law.

Nic has a Bachelor of Laws from the Murdoch University and is completing a Master of Laws from the University of Queensland. He was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2019 and is also entered in the High Court Register of Practitioners.

Before coming to the Bar, Nic was as an Acting Principal Lawyer at Crown Law and appeared regularly in the Queensland Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, Mental Health Review Tribunal, Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and the Queensland Human Rights Commission.

Nic is available to be briefed in statutory prosecution and other regulatory matters, criminal matters including preventative detention regimes, inquests, commissions of inquiry, public law, and mental health matters.
